Drone Attacks Strike Chernihiv Region and Kryvyi Rih
During the clearing of debris following a Russian drone strike in the Korivka district of the Chernihiv region, rescue workers saved a cat. The strike, carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), ignited a fire in a residential building and two outbuildings. Firefighters from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), working alongside local crews, managed to extinguish the blaze. Officials confirmed there were no human casualties from this incident.
In a separate attack overnight on March 6, Russian forces also targeted Kryvyi Rih with drones. This assault damaged approximately 30 homes, four educational institutions, and an infrastructure and business facility. Residents were evacuated from the affected apartments, and resulting fires were put out. The cat was discovered alive under the wreckage during the clearing operation, the SESU noted.
