The DBR completed the investigation into the case of a serviceman from Dnipro who altered military record data to help the unfit evade conscription. Thanks to him, 17 individuals managed to flee abroad.
'Clients' of this scheme were the relatives and acquaintances of the serviceman, who were also successfully transported outside the country.
The man is accused of breaking the law and obstructing the work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He could face up to 8 years in prison. The case has been forwarded to court.
As a result of the investigation, it was established that the serviceman systematically altered military record data to help conceal individuals unfit for service. This had serious consequences, as it allowed 17 individuals to evade legal conscription, which threatens their military obligation. Now the accused is awaiting a court decision that could determine his future. It is necessary to prevent similar cases in the future to ensure a fair and just conscription of Ukrainian citizens into military service.
