In Dnipro, the testing of the new tram «Tatra-Yug» is coming to an end, which will start operating on the city route on February 26. This is the first fully low-floor three-section wagon of model K1T306 in the city, designed for 254 passengers, including people with reduced mobility. Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reports.
The video from the test runs was released by Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov. According to him, this wagon will soon start carrying passengers. This is the first tram of this model in the city. In the future, four more similar wagons will join it.
The new tram «Tatra-Yug» will enter the route in Dnipro on February 26
The K1T306 model is fully low-floor and consists of three sections. It is adapted for the transportation of people with disabilities and other groups with reduced mobility. The total capacity is 254 passengers.
The delivery is happening in stages. The first wagon is already undergoing testing, and the remaining four are expected to arrive later.
The purchase of trams for Dnipro took place within the framework of the EIB project
All five wagons were purchased through a tender as part of a joint project of the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine and the European Investment Bank «Urban Public Transport II».
