In Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, starting from August 15, 2026, carriers have increased the fare in certain private minibuses. In Dnipro, passengers report a fare of 25 UAH, while in Kryvyi Rih, the ride has increased to 23 UAH. This was reported by Vidomo, referencing local Telegram channels.

Information about the new prices is confirmed by announcements in the bus salons and reports from passengers. At the same time, the relevant departments of the city councils had not issued specific clarifications regarding the increase as of August 16.

How much does a ride in Dnipro minibuses cost starting August 15, 2026

In private minibuses in Dnipro, passengers are now charged 25 UAH for a single ride. Previously, the fare was 23 UAH, so the increase amounts to 2 UAH, or about 8.7%.

According to reports from residents, the concessionary rate for students has also changed. With a student ticket, they supposedly have to pay 18 UAH. There is currently no official confirmation of this amount from the Dnipro City Council.

If a passenger uses the minibus twice a day for 22 working days, their monthly expenses will increase:

  • under the old rate: 1012 UAH;
  • under the new rate: 1100 UAH;
  • difference: 88 UAH per month.

The new prices may not apply to all bus routes at once. Passengers should pay attention to announcements in the salon of a specific minibus before traveling.

How the fare changed in Kryvyi Rih minibuses on August 15, 2026

In private taxi minibuses in Kryvyi Rih, the cost of a trip increased from 20 to 23 UAH. The increase amounts to 3 UAH, or 15%. Carriers had previously posted notifications about the new price in the buses.

The executive committee of the Kryvyi Rih City Council previously set a maximum fare for public transport buses at 25 UAH. Therefore, the price set by carriers at 23 UAH does not exceed the allowed limit. A separate decision by the local authorities regarding the fare of 23 UAH has not been published.

The changes apply to private minibuses. They should not be confused with municipal transport in Kryvyi Rih, which has separate payment rules and concessionary travel conditions.

Carriers explain the review of fares by the increase in fuel prices, lubricants, spare parts, and technical maintenance of buses.

Recall that on June 29, Russia struck at Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro, targeting civilian transport and enterprises.
