Dnipro has implemented an interactive public transport schedule that is adjusted online depending on the situation on the routes. The updated system allows passengers to see only the transport that is actually on the line, and all changes are displayed in real time. Dnipro.tv reports on this.
The new operating format is provided by the operational dispatch center of the KP «Dnipro Electric Transport», which monitors the movement of trams, trolleybuses, and buses around the clock. To ensure continuous operation, the center is equipped with modern software, alternative power sources, and radio communication in case of blackouts.
Online transport schedule in Dnipro
The main innovation is the launch of the updated website of the company, where the schedule is no longer static. According to the Deputy Director of the Department of Transport and Transport Infrastructure of the Dnipro City Council Oleksandr Leshchenko, dispatchers instantly make changes in case of accidents or power outages, and passengers immediately see current information.
The head of the operational dispatch center of the KP «Dnipro Electric Transport» Oleg Klevtsov noted that the system allows for a quick response to any changes and provides feedback to citizens through the website.
Dnipro Metro as a shelter during alerts
During the inspection of the transport operation, Oleksandr Leshchenko also examined the metro station «Metrobuidivnykiv», which has been used as a shelter since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The station is equipped with mobile communication, internet, purified water, medications, and charging points for gadgets.
