Starting from June 27, the second stage of tram track repairs will begin at the intersection of Bohdan Khmelnytsky Avenue and Chornykh Zaporizhtsiv Street. Due to the work, part of the roadway will be closed, and public transport routes will be temporarily changed. This is reported by the Department of Transport and Transport Infrastructure of the Dnipro City Council.

Bohdan Khmelnytsky Avenue in Dnipro will be partially closed

During the repairs, traffic will be closed at the intersection towards the settlement of Myrne. Also, drivers will not be able to make left and right turns from Bohdan Khmelnytsky Avenue onto Chornykh Zaporizhtsiv Street.

At the same time, the right turn from Chornykh Zaporizhtsiv Street onto Bohdan Khmelnytsky Avenue and traffic along the avenue towards the city center will remain open.

How public transport will change

During the repair period, the operation of several routes will change.

In particular:

  • tram No. 16 will not operate temporarily;
  • tram No. 12 will run from Staromostova Square to Sikorsky Street;
  • trolleybuses No. 8 and No. 9 will operate to Denys Kotenko Street;
  • buses No. 32, No. 32-K, No. 33, No. 127, and No. 136 will detour the repairs via Krasnopilska and Chornykh Zaporizhtsiv Streets;
  • buses No. 18, No. 55, and No. 151-A will also change their route via Krasnopilska Street.

In addition, the final stops of buses No. 85 and No. 136-A will be temporarily relocated, and the stop "PK 'Shynnyk'" towards Myrne will be arranged before the intersection with Chornykh Zaporizhtsiv Street.

Two more buses will be added to route No. 32-K

To compensate for the changes in transport operation, two additional buses will be released on route No. 32-K.

The Department of Transport urges residents and guests of Dnipro to consider the temporary restrictions when planning their trips and, if possible, choose alternative routes in advance.

It is worth noting that in Dnipropetrovsk region, the price of travel has increased on one of the most popular intercity bus routes.
