Putin fears a safe and successful Ukraine - European Commissioner
European commissioner for security and space Andrius Kubilius believes that Russian President Putin fears the stability and prosperity of Ukraine, as this is the greatest threat to his regime.
“What did Lavrov mean to say? That Russia wants to provide security guarantees to Ukraine? Is the Kremlin afraid of security guarantees for Ukraine that the Western community can provide?”
Kubilius emphasized that the only reason Ukraine needs security guarantees is the aggressive policy of Russia. He urged the Russian Federation to stop the war in eastern Ukraine and refrain from aggressive actions.
The struggle for Ukraine's success and Putin's fear
Kubilius believes that Ukraine's success could serve as an example for the Russian people and inspire them to desire to live in a free and normal country. He emphasized that this is precisely what the Kremlin fears.
“Ukraine will be successful. And Russia will remain with Kremlin stupidity. Lavrov has given a clear proof of this”
The European Commissioner emphasized that Putin's regime considers Ukraine's success the greatest threat to its own survival and is ready to take any steps to keep the situation under control.
Kubilius, the European Commissioner for Security, has openly stated that Putin fears success and stability in Ukraine, as this could serve as an example for the Russians and a stimulus for change. Ukraine, according to him, needs security guarantees due to Russia's aggressive policy, and the Russian Federation must stop the war in the eastern part of the country.
