The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Juraj Blanar, has threatened to stop the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine due to strikes on the Druzhba pipeline. It is noteworthy that the Slovak refinery Slovnaft supplies 10% of the diesel fuel to Ukraine, so it is important to maintain these supplies. The foreign ministers of Slovakia and Hungary have called on the European Union to ensure the security of energy resource supplies.

'We understand that it is difficult for Ukraine, but these supplies are very important to us. Our national interest is to protect these supplies, so we are communicating openly with the Ukrainian side,'

The Slovak side expresses concern over attacks on energy infrastructure, as Slovnaft uses oil from Russia through the Druzhba pipeline. Officials have called for an end to the war in Ukraine to avoid further disruptions to energy infrastructure.

Ukraine may be left without fuel due to a possible halt in diesel supplies from the Slovak refinery Slovnaft due to strikes on the Druzhba pipeline. This poses a serious threat to the country's energy security, and the Slovak authorities urge an end to attacks on energy infrastructure and a swift conclusion to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
