In Kherson, the trolleybus service was temporarily suspended on June 4 due to repair work on the contact network. The city authorities announced the estimated time for the resumption of electric transport services and urged residents to take the changes into account when planning their trips around the city. This was noted by the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.

Why the Trolleybus Service Was Halted in Kherson

The electric transport service had to be suspended due to repairs on the contact network that powers the trolleybuses.

According to the city authorities, the work is temporary and necessary for maintaining the city's transport infrastructure.

«Please consider this information when using public transport», — appealed to the residents of Kherson Yaroslav Shanko.

When Will the Trolleybus Service Resume in Kherson

The Kherson MVA reported that the estimated time for resuming the trolleybus service is 4:00 PM on June 4.

However, the final timelines may depend on the progress of the repair work and the technical condition of the network.

Residents are advised to keep an eye on official announcements from the city authorities and transport providers regarding possible changes to the schedules.

Kherson's Transport System Operates Under Constant Shelling

Before the full-scale invasion, there were 24 bus routes and 7 trolleybus routes operating in Kherson.

Currently, the city maintains the operation of 16 bus routes and only 4 trolleybus routes. Due to regular Russian shelling and infrastructure damage, routes have to be adjusted, and transport movement is periodically restricted.

Additional problems for public transport operations remain disruptions in electricity supply and the consequences of new attacks, which affect the stability of transportation in the city.

Recall that on the night of June 3, 2024, Russian troops attacked the Dnipro district of Kherson, using strike drones and artillery.
