In Khmelnytskyi on Sunday, July 5, the routes of public transport will be temporarily changed due to the holding of the Ukrainian Club Triathlon Championship. The restrictions will be in effect during the first half of the day and will affect several bus and trolleybus routes that operate from different neighborhoods of the city. This was reported by the Khmelnytskyi City Council.
How public transport will operate in Khmelnytskyi on July 5
The temporary traffic scheme will be in effect from 07:00 to 12:00. During this time, buses and trolleybuses will avoid sections where the competitions are held, using alternative streets.
Changes will affect trolleybuses No. 8A, 11, 11A, 12, 17, and 56, as well as buses No. 3, 20, 24, 27, 35, 38, 46, 46A, 47, 49, 49A, and 54.
For most routes, the detour will take place via Peace Avenue, Freedom Street, Pribuzka, Kam'yantska, Shevchenka, Zarichanska, or Staro-Kostiantyniv Highway depending on the direction of travel.

The city council emphasized that changes only apply to traffic in one direction. In the opposite direction, all buses and trolleybuses will operate on regular routes without additional restrictions.
Residents and guests of the city are urged to plan their trips in advance and take temporary changes into account when moving around Khmelnytskyi on Sunday morning.
The Ukrainian Club Triathlon Championship requires temporary closure of certain streets, so the public transport scheme has been adjusted to ensure the safety of competition participants and the smooth operation of city transport.
Recall that the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances of a fatal accident in Khmelnytskyi, in which a local resident died. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 16, around 22:40 near the Oasis shopping center. According to preliminary data, an off-duty police officer was driving his own car and struck a 54-year-old man.
