The SmartCity application has been presented in Khmelnytskyi, uniting city services and information for residents. Through it, users can track transport, pay for parking and utility services, submit meter readings, and view the shelter map. Similar digital services are emerging in other cities, including Chernivtsi expanding Smart City functions. This was reported by the Khmelnytskyi City Council.
SmartCity in Khmelnytskyi: city services in one application
In the transport section, users can top up their City Card, check the balance, and view the real-time movement of buses and trolleybuses. Users can find the stop and see the routes that pass through it or open a specific route to check the current location of the transport.
To pay for parking, the user needs to add their vehicle, select a parking spot, and pay for the session. The application shows the rate, the working hours of the parking space, and the remaining time for parking. Combatants can confirm their right to free parking through the Diia app by uploading their service ID and technical passport data.
The SmartCity application also allows users to pay for utility services, submit meter readings, top up mobile phones, and pay for internet services. Other cities are also adding digital opportunities for passengers: for example, Ivano-Frankivsk is preparing the application CITY with transport and parking services.
SmartCity in Khmelnytskyi: access to safety and CNAP services
The application includes an interactive map of shelters, points of resilience, and water distribution sites, as well as notifications about air alarms and threat levels. Users can also make appointments at the CNAP and pay fees for administrative services.
Verified users can send requests to the city authorities, such as reporting potholes or uncleaned areas. Surveys are also planned within the application. Soon, residents will be offered to choose one of three locations for the future Heroes Memorial.
Some services can be used without registration. For others, logging in with a phone number is required, and certain functions need verification through Diia. The application complements the city's transition to electronic fare payment, which Khmelnytskyi is gradually implementing in public transport.
