Traffic Lights to Be Switched Off at Two Kyiv Intersections on June 11

З 11 червня на двох перехрестях Києва вимкнуть світлофори.

Kyiv Infrastructure Upgrades Continue

On June 11, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, traffic lights at two intersections in Kyiv will be temporarily deactivated due to equipment modernization. During this period, patrol police crews will manage traffic flow at these locations. The affected intersections are:

  • The crossing of Bohdana Khmelnytskoho and Yevhena Chykalenka streets;
  • The intersection of Yevhena Chykalenka Street and Ukrainskykh Heroiv Square.

Additionally, roadworks are underway on the Borshchahivka route. Traffic is partially restricted at the junction of Kiltseva Road and Lesya Kurbasa Avenue until July 5. A major overhaul of Miska Street, which began in March, is also in progress, with over 600 meters of new storm drainage already installed as part of that project.

Traffic Restrictions and Safety Enhancements

Furthermore, pedestrian movement will be limited until September 15 on the bridge at the intersection of Beresteiskyi Avenue and Kiltseva Road. All these measures are designed to improve urban infrastructure and ensure road safety for all users.

Modernizing traffic lights and carrying out roadworks are part of a comprehensive program to enhance Kyiv's transportation infrastructure.

While these activities may cause temporary inconvenience for drivers and pedestrians, their ultimate goal is to reduce congestion and increase road safety. Timely completion of these repairs will also help improve pavement quality and lower the risk of future accidents.

In addition to the upcoming traffic light deactivation, ongoing roadworks are affecting various routes across Kyiv. For instance, Naberezhne Shosse will also be closed for repairs, further highlighting the city's commitment to infrastructure improvements. These initiatives aim to enhance overall traffic flow and safety for all road users, even as temporary disruptions occur.
