Today, October 20, 2025, in Kyiv, during the air raid signal, buses No. 110, No. 111, and No. 112, which run across the Podilsky Bridge from the right bank to the left bank, will switch to temporary service schemes. This will help avoid traffic jams and ensure passenger safety. This is reported by 44.ua.
The changes approved by the City Defense Council apply only to buses transitioning across the bridge. Transport from the left bank to the right bank will run without deviations. The route number will signal the scheme: standard – unchanged, with the suffix "-T" or "-D" – temporary. The KMDA advises Kyiv residents to closely monitor the displays to quickly choose the right direction and not get confused in traffic.
How bus routes will change in Kyiv on October 20
The schemes depend on the bus's position at the time of the alarm. If the vehicle is not on Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street (from the Havan Bridge to Upper Val), the first scheme with "-T" applies:
No. 110-T: from Ukrainian Heroes Square through Khreshchatyk, Havan Bridge, Northern Bridge, Podilsky Bridge to Heroes of Chernihiv Square;
No. 111-T: similarly, but to Darvynka Square;
No. 112-T: from Dehtiarivska Street through Upper Val, Havan Bridge, Northern Bridge, Podilsky Bridge to Ivan Mykytenko Street.
If the bus is on the mentioned section of Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska, the second scheme is applied for No. 110 and No. 111 with "-D": bypass through Naberezhno-Lukhova, Mezhyhirska, Stepana Bandera Avenue and Northern Bridge, then – to the final stops. Such an option is not provided for No. 112. Detailed maps are available on the KMDA website.
Why bus routes changed in Kyiv
These innovations are a response to frequent alarms and the need for effective transport during threats. Previously, similar adjustments were tested on other bridges to minimize evacuation risks. The KMDA emphasizes: "During the air raid alert, pay attention to the route number!" – this is the key to safe mobility in the capital during tense moments.
Earlier, we reported that free public transport benefits continue to operate in Kyiv for certain categories of residents. In 2025, free travel on subways, trams, trolleys, and buses is available with the "Kyiv resident card".
