Traffic Restrictions in Kyiv
Starting in June and continuing through September, Kyiv will see partial traffic and pedestrian restrictions as part of ongoing road maintenance. From June 17 to July 1, the Boulevard of the Verkhovna Rada in the Dnipro district will be partially closed. Crews from the Dnipro Road Maintenance Department will work daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the stretch between Myru Avenue and Budivelnykiv Street. These timelines may shift if weather conditions deteriorate.
On the Borshchahivka route, restrictions will remain in place on the overpass at the intersection of Kiltseva Road and Lesya Kurasa Avenue until July 5. This work is part of a larger capital repair project that began on Minska Street in March. So far, over 600 meters of new, larger-diameter storm drainage pipes have been installed as part of this initiative.
Road Safety Measures
Additionally, pedestrian access on the bridge at the intersection of Beresteiskyi Avenue and Kiltseva Road will be limited until September 15. According to the Kyiv City State Administration, these measures aim to enhance the capital's road infrastructure and improve overall traffic safety.
These scheduled roadworks in Kyiv reflect a systematic effort to modernize the city's infrastructure. While they may cause temporary disruptions for residents and drivers, the long-term benefits include better road surfaces and reduced accident risks. Adherence to completion deadlines will depend on weather conditions, highlighting the need for ongoing monitoring during such projects.
In addition to the ongoing roadworks, the Northern Bridge in Kyiv will also experience temporary closures as part of essential repairs. These simultaneous infrastructure improvements across the city aim to enhance overall traffic management and safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
