Roadwork in Kyiv
Starting at noon on May 29 and lasting until 9:00 PM on June 1, traffic on the Northern Bridge and several other routes will face partial restrictions. The municipal corporation Kyivavtodor has announced that the repairs will focus on resurfacing lanes three and four in the direction of the Pochaina metro station. During this period, vehicles will be rerouted to the far right and second lanes.
Additional Traffic Changes
Meanwhile, large-scale roadwork continues on the Borshchahivka route, where a partial closure remains in effect on the overpass at the intersection of the Ring Road and Lesya Kurbsa Avenue—these restrictions are scheduled to last until July 5. Another traffic limitation has been put in place on Hostomelske Highway in the Sviatoshyn district, running through May 31.
As part of broader efforts to upgrade Kyiv’s road infrastructure, a major renovation of Miska Street began in March. So far, workers have laid over 600 meters of new, larger-diameter storm drainage pipes, and preparation of the road base for future asphalt paving is currently underway.
These planned repair projects are part of the city government’s overall strategy to improve road infrastructure and enhance traffic safety.
While the closures may cause temporary inconvenience for drivers and pedestrians, they are expected to deliver long-term benefits such as higher-quality road surfaces and better drainage. Residents are encouraged to factor these changes into their travel plans over the coming weeks.
As the city undertakes these significant repairs, it's important to note that traffic restrictions are also in place on other key routes. For instance, ongoing work on the Great Ring Road will affect traffic for the next three months.
