Traffic Restrictions in Kyiv
From July 2 to 6, traffic on the Northern Bridge in Kyiv will be partially restricted due to repair work. Specifically, the work will begin on July 2 at 10:00 and will last until July 6 at 07:00. The repair section of the bridge is directed towards the residential area of Troieshchyna. During the repairs, traffic towards Troieshchyna will be organized in the first (outermost right) and second lanes, while traffic towards the Pochayna metro station will be organized in the first, second, and third lanes. The road surface of the bridge is planned to be renovated.
In addition, there is ongoing capital renovation of Valeriy Lobanovskyi Avenue in Kyiv. The first stage of repairs covers the section from Mykola Krivonos Street to Andrii Holovko Street (even side). Temporary traffic restrictions on the overpass through the tram tracks on the Great Ring Road are also in effect until August 20, where large-scale structural repairs are starting. The work on Shukhevych Avenue is being carried out by specialists from the Desnianskyi Road Repair and Maintenance Department.
Amid the repair works in Kyiv, temporary restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles are also in effect due to elevated temperatures exceeding +28 °C. The ban applies to heavy transport with an actual weight exceeding 24 tons or with a load per axle of more than 7 tons. The decision on restrictions for trucks was made by Kyivavtodor.
