On October 19, a new group of bus drivers will begin training in Kyiv. The free training will last for 8 weeks, and the enterprise is also inviting workers of various trades. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration. Earlier, free driving courses for public transport were also announced in the capital.
Bus driver courses in Kyiv begin on October 19, 2026
Training will be conducted according to the internal programs of Kyivpastrans or by direction from the Employment Center. Candidates must have at least three years of experience driving vehicles in categories B or C.
Recruitment for training bus, tram, and trolleybus drivers is ongoing. In 2025, 184 people completed training, and since the beginning of 2026 — 78. Currently, classes are ongoing for groups of future tram and trolleybus drivers.
There are also women drivers working at Kyivpastrans: 198 drive trams, 138 — trolleybuses, and another 16 — buses. In total, this is almost a quarter of the drivers at the company. Earlier in the capital, there were also reports about the recruitment of drivers for Kyivpastrans.

The enterprise is looking for locksmiths, painters, turners, gas welders, and other workers of various trades. Among the conditions — official employment, stable salary, social guarantees, shift work schedule, annual paid vacation, opportunities for career growth, and transport to the workplace.
The company is also considering the employment of people with disabilities if there are no medical contraindications. Housing may be provided for employees from other locations. Reservations are possible in accordance with legislation.
