On Monday, September 8, local rains are expected in Ukraine, which may improve the air quality situation in the capital. According to meteorologist Natalia Didenko, there is a 'meteorological hope' that precipitation will help wash away the smog in Kyiv, which residents feel discomfort in their throats and have difficulty breathing.
Periodic rains are forecast not only in the capital but also throughout almost the entire territory of Ukraine during the day and evening. The southern regions and western areas of the country will be the exception. 'Kyiv may receive at least a little of that desired moisture from the atmosphere tomorrow, or at least some wet clouds,' Didenko noted.
Temperature regime and other features
In the Carpathian region and Zakarpattia, rains are expected early in the morning and in the evening, while clear weather will prevail during the day on September 8. Meanwhile, strong easterly winds are forecast in Crimea and the Azov Sea region tomorrow.
The temperature regime will remain comfortable for the beginning of September. Pleasant coolness is expected at night, provided there is no air pollution. During the day, the maximum temperature in most regions of Ukraine will fluctuate from +23 to +28 degrees, while in the south it may reach +30 degrees in some places. In the capital, along with possible precipitation, the temperature is expected to be around +25 degrees.
According to the forecasts, there is also a likelihood of local rains on September 9. The next week promises to be moderately warm, however, a noticeable cooling may start approximately on September 17-18.
Earlier, meteorologists warned about new weather challenges in September.
