Passengers of the capital's public transport complained that the air conditioning in Kyivpastrans buses does not work on hot days. Strange responses come from the company to their complaints, even stating that there are no air conditioners at all, which is not true. This problem causes negative attitudes among passengers towards Kyivpastrans.
'Passengers and Kyivpastrans apparently live in parallel realities. Indifference and a slap in the face — this is all about Kyivpastrans,' emphasized a resident of the capital.
According to official information, less than half of the vehicles in Kyiv are equipped with air conditioning. Only 504 out of 1115 buses have cooling systems. Representatives of Kyivpastrans claim that they regularly service the air conditioning systems, but there are no separate funds to improve this situation. New vehicles of the company have modern air conditioning, and air conditioners are also installed during major repairs.
The urbanism of transport services has faced the problem of malfunctioning air conditioning in the capital's buses, while some passengers even claim that their complaints do not take reality into account. The authorities promise to equip new transport with modern cooling, but whether this will be enough to save from the heat is an open question.
