In Kyiv, partial traffic restrictions will be introduced on one of the key transport arteries of the Pechersk District for almost a month. Starting from June 22, road workers will begin work on Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard, which means drivers will need to consider the changes when traveling through the central part of the capital. This is reported by KK 'Kyivavtodor'.
Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard will be partially closed until mid-July
The restrictions will be in place from June 22 to July 15 on the section from 'Pecherska' metro station to the Pechersk overpass.
Every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, specialists from the Pechersk Road Maintenance Department will carry out works to set up traffic barriers in the median strip.
During this period, traffic will be partially restricted in the far left lanes in both directions.
How traffic will change in Kyiv
Complete road closure is not expected, however, narrowing of the roadway may complicate traffic and create congestion, especially during peak hours.
Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard is one of the main transport highways of the Pechersk District, connecting the central part of the city with several residential neighborhoods and business centers.
Therefore, drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and keep in mind potential delays during their trips.
Kyivavtodor urges drivers to consider restrictions
The municipal corporation apologizes to Kyiv residents for the temporary inconveniences and emphasizes that the works are necessary to improve road safety in this area.
City services call on drivers to be cautious in the work zone, comply with temporary traffic signs, and if possible, choose alternative routes.
After the works are completed, traffic on Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard will resume in the usual mode.
It should be noted that the Kyiv authorities rejected the petition against increasing the fare for public transport to 30 UAH, which was registered on May 18, 2026, under number 14223.
