Commemorating a Century of Partnership
To mark the anniversary of a landmark security pact, the Motherland Monument in Kyiv was illuminated on January 15th in the blue-and-yellow of Ukraine and the red-white-and-blue of the United Kingdom. This symbolic lighting ceremony underscores the deepening ties between the two nations, which share significant security and defense interests. The event highlights the UK's continued support for Ukraine during its ongoing conflict with Russia.

The historic 100-year partnership agreement was signed on January 15, 2025, by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
