Updates to Kyiv's Nighttime Curfew
Starting September 10, Kyiv’s curfew will be reduced by one hour, now lasting from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM. This adjustment, approved by the Capital Defense Council in line with government directives, takes effect at midnight on September 10. Kyiv’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, confirmed that
“the curfew will be shortened by one hour following the government’s decision, running from 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM.”
Extended Public Transport and New Routes During Curfew
In addition, public transportation services will operate for an extra hour to better accommodate residents during curfew hours. Mayor Klitschko emphasized that this change aims to improve daily life under the current restrictions. Operating hours for restaurants, entertainment venues, and shopping centers remain unchanged.
Since September 3, large transit trucks have been permitted to travel through the city during curfew to maintain essential logistics. Moreover, four new bus routes have been introduced to run during curfew hours.
