Kyiv Security Forum 2023
The 18th annual Kyiv Security Forum, a two-day event, begins today in the Ukrainian capital. Its central theme this year is 'Dusk or Dawn: Is There Light Ahead?'. A major point of discussion will be nuclear safety, especially as the world approaches the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s nuclear facilities, along with the ongoing occupation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, have thrust nuclear threats back to the top of the global agenda. The forum will address a broad range of topics, including:
- International solidarity with Ukraine
- Transatlantic unity
- Global security
- Defense and modern warfare technologies
- Anti-corruption efforts
- Countering disinformation
- Urban resilience and energy infrastructure protection
Participants will include international leaders, senior security and defense officials, NATO representatives, diplomats, innovators, and public figures. This gathering provides a key platform for high-level dialogue on pressing security challenges.
The Kyiv Security Forum has become an essential venue for discussing critical security issues and fostering cooperation between nations amid growing threats.
Attendees will have the chance to exchange expertise and insights on global security, while exploring ways to strengthen the international community’s response to emerging challenges.
