Cherry prices vary: the cheapest cherries cost 69.90 UAH per kilogram, while the most expensive reach 250 UAH per kilogram. Fully ripe black cherries are priced at 175 UAH per kilogram. Experts predict that as the harvest season peaks, cherry prices will stabilize within the 100–150 UAH per kilogram range. Olena Kishchak noted that despite unpredictable spring weather, Ukraine’s cherry market will be reliably supplied with domestically grown produce this summer.

Early apricots, peaches, and nectarines have also appeared at markets, priced at half the cost of strawberries. These offerings ensure Kyiv residents have access to fresh fruits and berries at affordable rates during the summer season.

Kyiv’s seasonal markets provide a key opportunity for locals to buy fresh vegetables and fruits directly from producers, boosting the local economy and supporting domestic farmers.

As the seasonal markets in Kyiv kick off, cherry prices are experiencing fluctuations, with recent reports indicating a drop to 70 UAH per kilogram. This change in pricing reflects the ongoing dynamics of the market, making it an ideal time for consumers to explore fresh produce options.
