500 Foster Families Gathered in Kyiv: How They Celebrated Christmas at a 150-Meter Table

A remarkable Christmas dinner took place in Kyiv, organized for families who have taken children into their care. Under a large 150-meter table, nearly 500 foster parents, guardians, caretakers, and children from various regions of Ukraine gathered.



The participants of the celebration shared stories and experiences, but most importantly – discussed the values and traditions they carry into their families. This celebration was dedicated to family values, warmth, and the feeling of home, which is especially important for every child.



“Christmas teaches us the most important thing – to love our family. At this table, we recreate this tradition, uniting families from all over Ukraine. I am sincerely grateful to foster parents, guardians, and caretakers for the love and care that you share with the children. It is such shared memories that shape their values for a lifetime,” emphasized the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Denys Uliutin.


The celebration program featured traditional Christmas dishes, performances by Ukrainian artists, interesting master classes, and a joint carol. Each child received an embroidered shirt as a gift, which has become a symbol of Ukrainian tradition.



The dinner was a time of trust, support, and communication, which will remain in the hearts of both children and adults. It was a positive and unforgettable event that brought together foster families from different corners of the country.



The meeting of families who have taken children into their care took place in Kyiv. Nearly 500 participants enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere, sharing experiences and family values, thereby supporting each other.
