Additional Public Transport Routes in Kyiv
Kyiv's Department of Transport Infrastructure will operate extra public transport routes to city cemeteries from April 19 to 22 to accommodate residents visiting graves during the traditional memorial period. The service will run from approximately 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the exact end time adjusted based on passenger demand to optimize efficiency. These memorial days, which follow Orthodox Easter, are a time when many Ukrainians honor deceased relatives.
Transport Schedule
Special routes will run to various cemeteries on specific days. On Sunday, April 19, transport will be provided to the following cemeteries:
- Baikove
- Bratske
- Viiskove
- Korchuvatske
- Lisove
- Miske
- Mykhailivske
- Mysholovske
- Pivdenne
- Pivnichne
- Pyrohivske
- Pushcha-Vodytske
- Sviatoshynske
- Sovske
- Solomianske
- Chapaevske
Transport will also run to the State Historical-Memorial Lukianivske Preserve.
On Monday, April 20, additional routes will serve:
- Bilychanske
- Bortnychanske
- Vyhurivske
- Darnytske
- Zhulianske
- Zvirynetske
- Kurenivske
- Pozniakivske
- Troieshchynske
Routes will also go to the Memorial at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Park of Eternal Glory.
On Tuesday, April 21, transport will be organized to Baikove, Bykivnianske, and Viiskove cemeteries. The final day of the memorial period is Tuesday, April 22 (known as Radonitsa), when extra transport will run only to Miske Cemetery.
Separate special routes will also be arranged to cemeteries located outside Kyiv's city limits, including Pivnichne and Pivdenne. These measures are intended to facilitate access to memorial sites for all who wish to visit.
