Additional shuttles of Kyiv City Express will operate between the right and left banks of Kyiv: «Ukrzaliznytsia» has scheduled 18 trips from October 5 to October 9. Trains will run during peak morning and evening hours to help passengers avoid traffic jams on the bridges. Against the backdrop of attacks, the railway operates under increased control. This is reported by Kyiv City Express.

Kyiv City Express Shuttle Schedule from October 5 to October 9

Additional trains will run on the route Vydubychi – Darnytsia – Vydubychi. Morning trips are scheduled from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, evening trips from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Shuttles will also stop at the Bereznyaki station.

The company specified that during peak hours, up to six trips will operate between the banks. Passengers are advised to pay attention to announcements at the stations: boarding locations at Vydubychi and Darnytsia may vary.

Travel across the city is also possible using regular suburban and regional trains connecting Kyiv with Nizhyn, Hrebinka, Konotop, and Slavutych. All of them stop at Vydubychi and Darnytsia, while suburban trains also stop at Bereznyaki. Earlier, Kyiv City Express already adjusted its schedule due to railway infrastructure repairs.

Why Additional Train Trips Were Added in Kyiv

The additional shuttles are intended to assist passengers amid complicated traffic conditions due to the Dnipro. Russian drones attacked the Southern and Northern bridges, after which traffic along certain crossings and public transportation was restricted. On the morning of October 2, this caused significant traffic jams between the banks.

The circular train allows crossing the city by train and avoiding road traffic. Meanwhile, passengers should consider that due to the security situation, the schedule may change. Read about previous disruptions in Kyiv in the article about delays in urban transport.
