Detaining a man for attempted evasion of mobilization

A 23-year-old man was detained in Kyiv for trying to help a conscript evade mobilization for 6000 US dollars. He offered fake employment at a defense industry company, whose workers are subject to conscription, or an alternative option - illegal removal from military registration without undergoing a military medical commission (MMC).

According to information, the suspect used a taxi driver to receive the money. His actions were classified as abuse of influence, committed in collusion by a group of individuals. Under the procedural guidance of the Svyatoshyn District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv, the man was notified of suspicion.

Public outrage

The situation has caused outrage among the public, as such actions undermine the foundations of national security and legality in wartime conditions.

This case illustrates the serious challenges Ukraine faces during the war, particularly issues of evasion of mobilization that may threaten the country's defense capabilities. It is important for law enforcement to continue actively responding to such attempts of abuse and ensuring the rule of law during a state of emergency.
