Major Drug Operation in Kyiv
Kyiv law enforcement has apprehended two men suspected of possessing illegal drugs with the intent to sell. Searches of the suspects' residence, vehicle, and garage uncovered a quantity of cocaine and 364 pills containing the psychotropic substance MDMA, all prepared for distribution.
Case Details and Legal Proceedings
The suspects, aged 39 and 33, were detained under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code. The Desnianska District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv is overseeing the case. The men have been formally notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 307 of Ukraine's Criminal Code.
The Desnianskyi District Court of Kyiv has ordered the suspects to be held in custody without the option of bail. The charges they face carry a potential prison sentence of 9 to 12 years, along with the confiscation of property.
