In Kyiv, from May 25 to May 29, the movement of trams and buses has been temporarily changed due to the repair of tram tracks on Kyrylivska Street. The restrictions will be in effect daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This was reported by the KP 'Kyivpasstrans'.
Which trams changed their routes
During the repair works, trams No. 11, No. 12, and No. 16 will run only to Semen Sklyarenko Street.
The routes will operate:
-
from Yordanska Street;
-
from Pushcha-Vodytsia;
-
from Heroiv Dnipra metro station.
Tram No. 19 will temporarily run from Kontraktova Square only to the 'Stadium Spartak' stop.
What bus has been launched instead of the tram
To transport passengers between Kontraktova Square and Taras Shevchenko Square in Kyiv, a temporary bus route No. 19-T has been organized.
Buses will run through:
-
Mezhyhirskaya and Shchekavytska streets;
-
Kyrylivska;
-
Syretska;
-
Semen Sklyarenko;
-
Avtozavodska;
-
Polyarnaya.
In the opposite direction, the transport will move along the same route back to Kontraktova Square.
Why transport movement is limited in Kyiv
The reason for the changes is the repair of tram tracks on Kyrylivska Street. Works are being carried out on the section near the Bakul Institute and the intersection with Semen Sklyarenko Street.
At 'Kyivpasstrans', passengers were urged to consider the temporary changes when planning trips around the city.
It is worth recalling that on the night of May 24, 2026, the capital of Ukraine suffered a massive combined shelling, as a result of which the premises of the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine were damaged.
