In Kyiv, over 10,400 m2 have been cleared of illegal kiosks

The capital continues a large-scale campaign to clear urban space of illegal temporary structures. During the recent period, municipal services managed to free over 10,400 square meters of territory and dismantle hundreds of illegally installed objects.

This was reported by the utility company «Kyivblagoustriy».

Most of the dismantling work was done in the Shevchenko and Solomiansky districts of Kyiv. In the Shevchenko district, 393 illegal objects were removed, and in the Solomiansky district - another 299 structures.

At the same time, inspectors found several violations. In particular, over 90 cases of illegal trade in alcoholic beverages and tobacco products were recorded. Moreover, more than 25 structures were located directly on municipal engineering communications, creating additional risks for their operation.

Where work was conducted after dismantling

After the demolition of illegal structures, municipal services were engaged in landscaping territories and eliminating the consequences of unauthorized construction.

In particular, cleaning after the dismantling of temporary structures was carried out on Akdemik Shalimov Street, 42. On Vyacheslav Chornovol Street, 20, the area was cleared of garbage and accumulated branches.

On Hnata Yuri Street, 20, the asphalt pavement was restored for safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Landscaping work was also carried out on Lubomyr Huzar Avenue, 28, and in Kvitnevyi Lane, 5.

 

The fight against illegal structures continues

In «Kyivblagoustriy», it is emphasized that the dismantling of illegal kiosks and the landscaping of the urban environment remain one of the priorities of municipal services' work. After each dismantling, the areas are cleared of garbage and construction debris, and damaged infrastructure elements are restored as needed.

Earlier, municipal services in Kyiv completed cleaning work on Kharkiv Highway from temporary structures, planning to expand the road network and create new pedestrian infrastructure.
