In April 2026, some Ukrainian pensioners will receive a significant increase in payments due to age supplements and an increase in the minimum subsistence level. The total increase may exceed 500 UAH per month. This is reported by TSN.
Pensions in Ukraine 2026: who will receive additional payments over 500 UAH
The Pension Fund explains that the amount of the supplement depends on the pensioner's age and their current pension.
Key conditions for receiving supplements:

the pension must be less than 10,340.35 UAH

the supplement is credited after reaching a certain age

the amount of the supplement ranges from 300 to 570 UAH
In the first month, the payment may be lower. This is related to the fact that the supplement is credited from the day the corresponding age is reached, not for the full month.
Pension increases in April: how indexing works
The size of payments was also affected by the indexation of pensions which took place in March 2026.

According to the Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutyn, the government is finalizing the regulatory documents, after which all pensioners will receive updated payments.
The pension indexation system in Ukraine operates according to the law on mandatory state pension insurance. After the reforms of 2017, the recalculation mechanism was restored, and now increases are conducted regularly.
Thus, in April, some Ukrainians will receive two types of increases at once – age supplements and the effect from the March indexation, which in total may exceed 500 UAH.
It is worth noting that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution, according to which in April 2026, a one-time cash supplement of 1500 UAH will be provided to certain categories of pensioners and recipients of social payments.
