Ukrainian military used 'Flamingo' rockets for the first time to target an FSB checkpoint in occupied Crimea. Previously, there were reports of the use of 'Neptune' missiles.
The attack occurred on August 30, 2025, when three rockets were launched from the Ukrainian Black Sea coast and struck the target. Also, during the strike, helicopters at Simferopol airport were destroyed.
Satellite imagery shows the damaged checkpoint and destroyed patrol boats, as well as confirmed the death of one serviceman. The 'Flamingo' rocket has a range of over 3000 km and costs less than 1 million euros. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the rocket trials were successful and mass production will begin.
