Death of a Conscript in Kryvyi Rih
On April 22, a 50-year-old mobilized man (born in 1975) passed away inside a Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) in Kryvyi Rih. Preliminary findings indicate heart failure as the cause of death. The individual had been listed as a fugitive for violating military registration rules since 2025 and was brought to the TCC by police. He carried documents suggesting a suspected oncological condition and was referred for further medical evaluation.
While at the center, his health abruptly deteriorated, prompting calls to an emergency medical team and National Police officers. No signs of violent death were observed. The following morning, authorities informed his wife of the incident. She stated they had planned to visit an oncologist and noted that her husband had called her from the TCC, saying he felt unwell, before losing contact.
Other Incidents at Recruitment Centers
This case is not isolated. In Lviv, a man died at the regional TCC due to alcohol poisoning. Additionally, a 43-year-old mobilized Kyiv resident died in a hospital after sustaining an injury at a TCC distribution point, leading to a criminal investigation. In the village of Pulyny, Zhytomyr region, Oleksandr Revutskyi died after visiting a TCC and receiving a summons.
