Beneficiary transport cards in Kropyvnytskyi show a limit of 300 free trips per month, however, there is no actual restriction. The number is related to the features of the software, and if necessary, the number of trips will be increased. Starting from September 2, the city has already issued cards for free travel. Why is there a limit of 300 trips on the transport card
The decision of the Kropyvnytskyi city council executive committee No. 537 dated June 23, 2026, does not establish limits on the number of free trips for beneficiaries. They can use municipal buses and trolleybuses as much as needed.
The number 300 appeared due to a technical feature of the automated fare collection system being implemented by the company «Izi Soft» from the EasyPay group.
«Technically, the EasyPay company cannot implement an unlimited number of trips — this is a feature of their software. Therefore, the unlimited number of trips in the system is displayed as 300 trips», — explained Mykhailo Korol, head of the department of social protection management of the city council.
If a passenger runs out of 300 trips in a month, they can contact one of the nine card issuance points. The city council is ready to increase the available number. So far, no requests have been received due to limit exhaustion.
The electronic payment system in the city was prepared for a long time. Back in early 2026, Inkorr reported why the electronic ticket did not start working on the planned dates.
How many beneficiaries have already received transport cards
From September 2 to 15, personalized cards were received by 4620 people, including 20 companions of people with disabilities. In total, there are over 80,000 passengers in the Kropyvnytskyi community who are entitled to free travel.
About 82% of those who have already applied for a card are pensioners by age. Another 17 mobility-impaired residents requested to have cards issued at their place of residence.
«There are 17 applications from mobility-impaired citizens who wish to receive a card at their place of residence. We will process them and will visit them soon», — said Korol.
A transitional period will last until March 2027. During this time, beneficiaries can confirm their right to free travel either with a personalized transport card or with the appropriate certificate.
For other passengers, the cost of the trip depends on the type of transport and the method of payment. Recall, Inkorr reported on new tariffs in Kropyvnytskyi, which have been in effect since August 15.
