In Kropyvnytskyi, a man was sentenced to three years of imprisonment by the Podilskyi District Court for refusing mobilization after receiving a summon. This news is reported by tsn.ua.
According to the court's verdict, the man received the summon on September 9, 2024, but did not appear at the military unit as instructed. During the hearing, he admitted his guilt and explained that he did not arrive at the TCC due to fear for his life because of the losses among his acquaintances who were military.
“Having elderly parents, I fear for my life, so I decided to evade mobilization. I do not want to be mobilized,” the man's explanation states.
After analyzing the case materials, the court found the man guilty under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed a sentence of three years of imprisonment.
