The leaders of Ukrainian triathlon Vitalii Vorontsov and Maryna Kyryk have welcomed a son. This was reported by Hromadske.



The boy, Marcel, was born on July 31, 2025.



Vitalii Vorontsov is a multiple champion of Ukraine, winner and medalist of the European Cup among juniors. He is also a participant in world and European championships, European Games, and the World Beach Games.



Maryna Kyryk is a multiple medalist of Ukrainian triathlon championships and cups, the Ukrainian champion in mixed relay triathlon, and a participant in world and European cups, as well as in Asia and America in triathlon.



We remind that Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, taking 10th place. The Ukrainian team garnered: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.



Sporting Achievements



This is the second most successful performance by Ukraine in the history of its participation in the Festivals, starting from 1993! The 'blue-yellow' team won more medals only in 2019 – when they achieved 25 awards.


The most successful sport was judo – our athletes won six medals, including bronze in the mixed team tournament on the final competitive day.


In addition to judo, representatives of such sports as swimming (2 golds, 2 silvers, and bronze), athletics (gold, silver, and 2 bronzes), taekwondo (2 silvers and bronze), shooting sports (silver and bronze), artistic gymnastics (silver and bronze), and table tennis (bronze) also earned medals for Ukraine.



It is known that the leaders of Ukrainian triathlon Vitalii Vorontsov and Maryna Kyryk welcomed their son Marcel. This joyful event took place on July 31, 2025. In addition, Ukraine showed impressive results at the European Youth Olympic Festival, winning many medals in various sports, including judo, swimming, athletics, and others.
