In Lutsk, the fare for minibus transport has increased. Passengers will now have to pay 24 hryvnias instead of the previous 18. The fare for schoolchildren has also increased. This decision was made by the executive committee of the Lutsk City Council on May 13. About this writes 'Konkurent Volyn'.

The fare for minibus transport has been raised in Lutsk

After the official announcement of the decision, new tariffs will take effect the next day.

Now the fare will be:

  1. 24 hryvnias – for adult passengers;

  2. 12 hryvnias – for schoolchildren.

Previously, minibus fares in Lutsk were 18 and 9 hryvnias respectively.

The city council explained the reasons for the price increase

In the explanatory note to the decision, it was stated that over the duration of the previous tariff, the costs for transport providers have significantly increased.

In particular:

  • diesel fuel prices increased from 50 to 83 hryvnias per liter;

  • costs for lubricants, tires, and spare parts increased by approximately 25%;

  • insurance, medical examinations, parking, and legal services have also become more expensive.

City authorities state that the changes in tariffs are related to the increase in the cost price of transportation.

Previously, the price for electric transport in Lutsk also increased

Recently, the cost of travel in trolleybuses and other electric transport has also increased.

At the same time, Lutsk City Council reported that in April 2026, residents submitted nearly 60 complaints about public transport operations.

In many cities of Ukraine in 2026, local authorities are reviewing tariffs due to the rising costs of fuel, spare parts, and transport maintenance.

For Lutsk residents, this means yet another increase in expenses for daily public transport trips.

Recall that in Lviv, new tariffs for public transport may be introduced starting June 1, 2026 with the fare potentially rising to 30 hryvnias. The cash payment will increase the most – up to 30 hryvnias per trip, and the fine for traveling without a ticket may rise to 520 hryvnias.
