Tragedy in Lviv region
In the Lviv region, a mother left her eight-year-old daughter with a one-and-a-half-month-old baby in a locked apartment for a day. The police are searching for the mother and have initiated a pre-trial investigation.
On December 29, the police received a report from a resident of the Sheptytskyi district. As a result of the check, children were found in the apartment: an eight-year-old girl and a one-and-a-half-month-old boy. According to law enforcement, the children were exhausted and scared, and there was no food in the apartment.
Actions of the police and consequences
The children's mother is 30 years old. She left them in the apartment the day before. In this connection, the police initiated a pre-trial investigation under Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the improper performance of parental duties. At present, law enforcement is taking measures to search for the woman.
This situation highlights serious problems that families may face, particularly regarding caregiving issues. The lack of adequate support from the state or social services can lead to tragic consequences. The police continue their investigations, and it is important for society to pay attention to such cases to prevent similar incidents in the future.
