In Lviv, traffic is restricted on five streets due to road reconstruction, network replacement, and surface restoration. The longest works will last until December, while the shortest are expected to be completed by early August. This is shown by data from LKP 'Lvivavtodor'.
Street closures in Lviv on July 28: five repair sections
As of July 28, transport movement is restricted on Zaliznychna, Hetmana Ivana Mazepy, Heroiv UPA, Sembratovychiv, and Kubiyovycha streets. The works vary in scale: from replacing the top layer of asphalt to full road and utility reconstruction.
On Zaliznychna street, two sections are being repaired: from the quasi-ring of Shevchenka to Yasnaya and from Yasnaya to Storozhenka. The foundation for asphalt is being prepared, and the water supply and sewage systems are being updated. The reconstruction is planned to be completed by December 25, 2026.
The section of Hetmana Mazepy street between Orlyk and Mykolaychuk was closed on May 18. The road will be widened, two lanes, public transport stops, cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, parking spaces, and landscaping will be created. The work will last until the end of the year.
How public transport operates during the repairs on Mazepy in Lviv
Due to the closure of the Mazepy section, some routes are operating on temporary schedules. Trolleybus No. 33 is not running during the repairs.

Buses No. 46 and No. 55a are detouring via Orlyk and Vira, Nadiya, Lyubov streets.

Buses No. 17 and No. 84 towards Shchurata are traveling via Orlyk street, and in the opposite direction through Vira, Nadiya, Lyubov.

Buses No. 12, No. 34, and No. 51 are traveling via Mazepy, Orlyk, and Mykolaychuk.

Buses No. 7, No. 31, No. 41, and No. 56a are heading through Instrumentalna, Khvylyovoho, and Mykolaychuk.
For the reconstruction of Mazepy and Hrinchenka, the European Investment Bank allocated 10.7 million euros. The current section marks the first stage of the upgrade of this route.
Repairs on Heroiv UPA, Sembratovychiv, and Kubiyovycha in Lviv
On Heroiv UPA street, after the completion of the first phase of repairs, a section from Vasylkivskyi to Smal-Stotsky has been closed. There, the surface, curbs, manholes, and storm drain grates are being replaced. The work is expected to last about a month.
Sembratovychiv street was closed on July 14. On a 120-meter section, the asphalt, curbs, manholes, storm drains, and sidewalks are being updated. The repair is expected to be finished by August 4, and public transport runs without changes.
Part of Kubiyovycha street from Snopkivska to Vasyl Vyshyvanyi square has been closed since July 13. The road is being repaved with existing paving stones. The work is planned until September 11, and access is possible from Severy street.
