Road repairs in Lviv continue on July 6: addresses and changes in transportation

Road works are ongoing in Lviv on several important roads in the city. Due to repairs on certain sections, full or partial traffic restrictions are in place, and several bus and trolleybus routes are temporarily operating on altered schedules. This is reported by Dyvys Info.

Road repairs in Lviv: where traffic restrictions are in place on July 6

The largest changes currently affect Hetman Mazepa Street, where the reconstruction of the section from Orlyk Street to Mykolaychuk Street is underway. The roadway is being widened, new public transport stops, bicycle infrastructure, sidewalks, parking spaces, and landscaping are being arranged.

Due to the work, the routes for buses No. 7, No. 12, No. 17, No. 31, No. 34, No. 41, No. 46, No. 51, No. 55a, No. 56a, and No. 84 have been temporarily altered. Trolleybus No. 33 is temporarily not in operation.

Repair works are also ongoing at:

  • Heroes of UPA Street;
  • Konyushin Street;
  • Stryiska Street;
  • Shevchenko Street;
  • Lychakivska Street.

Changes to public transport in Lviv

On Heroes of UPA Street, public transport is operating around via Horodotska and Kulparkivska Streets. Trolleybuses No. 22 and No. 30, as well as buses No. 7 and No. 33, are working on altered routes.

On Konyushyn Street, public transport routes remain unchanged; however, drivers are advised to use detours via Zbyralna Street.

On Stryiska Street, traffic is not currently blocked. Repairs are being carried out in stages, and during the laying of new asphalt, vehicles will be directed to the opposite side of the road.

On Shevchenko Street, work is being done in lanes, so reverse traffic has been organized for vehicles. A similar scheme is in place on Lychakivska Street, where slope stabilization and the construction of a new retaining wall continue.

When will the repairs in Lviv be completed

Timelines for completion vary depending on the site. Repairs on Konyushyn Street are planned to be completed by July 18, and on Shevchenko Street by July 15.

Work on Stryiska Street is expected to last about three months from the start of repairs, and the reconstruction of the first phase of Hetman Mazepa Street is planned to be completed by the end of 2026.

The Lviv City Council urges drivers and passengers to plan their routes in advance and consider temporary restrictions while traveling through the city.
