On May 2, public transport movement will be temporarily limited in the city center due to the celebration of the 770th anniversary. The restrictions will be in effect from 13:00 to 14:30 and will affect key streets and tram and trolleybus routes. This is reported by the Lviv City Council.

During the events, the movement will be closed in Rynok Square and adjacent streets:

Berinda Street;

Svobody Avenue near the Taras Shevchenko monument.
As a result, some public transport routes will change, and drivers are urged to plan detours in advance.
Changes in transport routes in Lviv: how trams and trolleybuses will operate
Trams No. 1 and No. 2 will temporarily operate on modified routes:

Railway Station — Horohootska Street — I. Honty Street — Pidvalna Street — Lychakivska Street — Mechnikova Street — Pohulianka Street; -
tram No. 2:
Konavaltsia Street — Gen. M. Chuprynka Street — Nechuy-Levytsky Street — I. Vitovskyi Street — I. Franka Street — Lychakivska Street — Pasichna Street.
Trolleybus No. 33 will continue to operate unchanged, but in the city center, it will turn not near the Shevchenko monument but near the figure of the Blessed Mother. Transport with autonomous power supply will be sent to the line.
After the festive events, all electric transport will return to its usual routes.
It should be noted that on April 28, around 20:25, a tragic incident occurred in Lviv: a 42-year-old Australian citizen jumped from the observation deck of the City Hall tower.
