In Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk on October 30, part of the public transport temporarily suspended or changed routes due to air alerts and shelling. In Lviv, the operation of trolleybuses was limited, the “Lviv Portal” reports. In Ivano-Frankivsk, municipal transport was completely suspended for the safety of passengers, reported the 0342 portal.
How transport operates in Lviv on October 30
Due to the long alert and the threat of strikes on energy facilities, the route scheme of electric transport in Lviv changed. Trolleybus 38 operates a short route from Kryvoshyina Square to the city bus station. Line 27 was temporarily removed from service — the Sknyliv Bridge was closed, making movement impossible.
Meanwhile, some of the passenger flow was picked up by buses. City routes 14, 21, 52, 84, and 92 are detouring through Sknyliv, maintaining the connection between the district and the center.
The reason for the adjustments is the traffic jams that arose after the Shuvary market restricted entry during the alert period. This blocked movement on adjacent roads.
By 08:30, the alert in the city lasted more than 4 hours. At 10:00, transport in Lviv returned to its usual mode.
Routes that changed operation in Lviv:
- trolleybus 38 — short route
- trolleybus 27 — not operating
- buses 14, 21, 52, 84, 92 — detour through Sknyliv.
Frankivsk suspended municipal transport on October 30
In Ivano-Frankivsk, the situation is even stricter: all municipal transport was temporarily halted. Residents were asked to remain in shelters until the alert is lifted. Authorities emphasized that the decision was made for safety against the backdrop of mixed missile and drone strikes in the region. Employers were also urged to be understanding of employee delays.
