The Shevchenkivskyi District Administration of Lviv has announced a repeat tender for the arrangement of a square in honor of linguist Iryna Faryon. It will be located on Tomas Masaryk Street, and its estimated cost is UAH 2.2 million. This was reported by

"Hlavkom"
referring to the proposal on Prozorro.

According to the tender conditions, the auction will take place on September 1, and the work on the arrangement of the square is planned to be completed by the end of December 2025. The project includes the laying of sidewalks, installation of benches, litter bins, sowing grass, and planting bushes and trees. The total area of the square will be 233 square meters.

Second auction and evening of memory

This is already the second auction for the creation of the square. The previous one took place in mid-August, and its winner was LLC "Innova-Bud" with a proposal of UAH 2.1 million. However, the administration rejected the proposal because the company did not account for the installation of four traffic signs.

On July 19, on the anniversary of Iryna Faryon's murder, an evening of memory took place, during which the concept of an artistic work to be installed at the site of her death was presented. The concept was developed free of charge by a team of former architecture students under the supervision of Professor Andriy Lesiuk.

A repeat tender has been held in Lviv for the arrangement of a square in honor of Iryna Faryon. The new architectural structure will embody the memory of the prominent Ukrainian linguist and will also awaken cultural reflections in the city's visitors.
