Women bus and truck drivers attended a winter school: how the transport industry is changing

As part of the She Drives project, a Winter School for women drivers took place, where they improved their skills over two days. Participants talked about safe driving, provided first aid, discussed career development, and met potential employers.




  • They learned to drive in difficult weather conditions;

  • Mastered first aid skills;

  • Also talked about career and self-confidence;

  • Met with employers.



Participants had the opportunity to communicate with company representatives and form a support community. The She Drives project is aimed at professional development and road safety, and is implemented with the support of UN Women and the governments of France, Poland, and Sweden.



She Drives is about road safety, equality of opportunities, and a community that supports and motivates.

The Winter School for women drivers as part of the She Drives project was aimed at improving skills and supporting participants in their career development, creating a favorable environment for women in the transport industry.
