More than 280,000 families have already taken advantage of the compensation for electricity costs provided under the Winter Support program. This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, this assistance is intended for residents of frontline regions who face particular difficulties in meeting their basic needs during the winter period.
Importantly, the state compensates for electricity consumption in the amount of 100 kWh per person per month, but no more than 300 kWh per family. The program started on October 1 and will operate throughout the cold season.
It is important to note that the additional payment is automatically provided along with the monthly social subsidy or housing and utility benefits. More details about all the Winter Support options can be found on the official website zyma.gov.ua.
