A scandal over school meals has emerged in Mykolaiv. Law enforcement found dangerous bacteria in the food used to feed students. The prosecutor's office has started an investigation and announced suspicions against those involved, as reported by 'Hlavcom' referencing the Office of the Prosecutor General.
According to reports, a private company supplying food to schools violated sanitary norms. During the analysis, dangerous bacteria were found that could cause food poisoning in children.
The director of the company has been charged with violating the law, as well as the person who managed the school meals. The prosecutor's office conducted searches and seized products for examination. After the investigation, the council terminated the contract with the company due to deficiencies and violations of sanitary requirements.
Such facts have called into question the quality of lunches for schoolchildren in Mykolaiv and have led to serious accusations against those responsible.
