Ongoing Investigation at Ukraine's Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport
The Ministry of Recovery, Infrastructure, and Transport of Ukraine is currently conducting an investigation involving the Director of the Recovery Policy Department, who was appointed in April 2026. The inquiry concerns allegations that the official may have accepted illicit benefits related to lifting sanctions on certain businesses during his previous employment. It is important to emphasize that these suspicions are not connected to his current role within the Ministry.
The Ministry is fully cooperating with law enforcement agencies, providing all necessary information to support the investigation. To mitigate potential risks, the Ministry has decided to suspend the official from his duties pending the outcome of the inquiry.
"Given the nature of the allegations concerning the official’s prior position, we cannot overlook potential risks to the Ministry. Therefore, the decision to suspend him from his responsibilities is being implemented immediately. Appropriate personnel decisions will follow based on the investigation's findings and in accordance with the law," stated the Ministry.

Should additional verified information emerge, it will be communicated promptly."
