Starting from July 2025, the duration of the basic general military training course (BGMT) has increased to 51 days.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reminds what the training of recruits consists of, what they are provided with, and what they receive upon completion of the training program.
'The updated program is taught at all training centers preparing mobilization personnel for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of the 51 days of training, 42 days are dedicated to practical and theoretical classes, 7 days are weekends, and 2 days are for resolving administrative issues.'
It is worth noting the level of fire training - it includes 137 hours of practice and 56 fire exercises with various weapons. Measures to protect against enemy UAVs (kamikaze drones) are also compulsory.
