Ukraine launches an anti-corruption program for recovery: what will change from 2026

Нові ініціативи в боротьбі з корупцією в Україні: якими стануть умови з 2026 року.

A productive working meeting took place at the Ministry of Development, where the prevention of corruption in the recovery architecture was discussed. Representatives from Ukraine and Germany met to discuss issues of transparency and control over recovery processes.



The German delegation expressed its support for the fight against corruption given the limited financial resources for recovery. A new cooperation project with the EU and other partners aimed at optimizing the use of investments was also discussed.



“We welcome the steps taken by our partners to strengthen transparency and integrity in the recovery processes. This is extremely important for building trust among both donors and citizens,” emphasized First Deputy Minister Aliona Shkrum.


It was also announced the launch of the State Anti-Corruption Program aimed at identifying and minimizing corruption risks in all areas, including recovery projects. The program will come into effect from 2026 and will include control and monitoring of projects.



Participant Maryna Denysiuk shared information about the project monitoring system, which will cover fiscal, financial, and technical control, as well as social and environmental reporting. She emphasized that institutional capacity is crucial for the successful management of large investment projects.



The meeting at the Ministry of Development aimed to improve control mechanisms and ensure integrity in recovery processes, which is an important step in fighting corruption and increasing trust in recovery projects.
